The next morning Ledimo awoke early before the rest of the village. He went outside and standing firm he held the stone to the sky. The rain came pouring down. Dry rivers and pans filled up and the village became an island with water swirling around it. The villagers were overjoyed and danced outside in the rain, filling every vessel they had with the precious liquid. Ledimo appeared and was completely transformed. His beard had disappeared and his hair was smooth and wavy; he looked every bit the semi-god he was. The villagers stared in wonder, realising that he was the one who had brought the rain. The chief offered him the best hut and his daughter\u2019s hand in marriage. Ledimo accepted the hut but gracefully declined the daughter.
